A course which is tailored to fit the interests of a specific student, which occurs outside the traditional classroom/laboratory setting under the supervision of a faculty member, for which credit is awarded. Offered at department discretion.
Designed to engage students in the understanding, interpretation, and integration of advanced cellular, molecular, and biomedical sciences-related material as they start their PhD studies in the CMB program. Covers biochemical, molecular, cell biological, physiological, and organismal knowledge bridging from the fundamental building blocks of life to organelle biogenesis, and incorporate critical reading, experimental interpretation, and data analysis skill building. Prerequisite: Cell, Molecular, and Biomedical Sciences Graduate student or Instructor permission.
