Focuses on the learning and development needs of children with or AT - risk for disabilities and other diverse young learners within inclusive early childhood settings.
Designing and implementing services and supports for young preschool-age children with diverse abilities. Topics include IEPs, embedding instruction, specialized instruction, and inclusion. Three credits, four credits with 30-hour field experience. Pre/Co-requisites: Special Education Graduate student; Praxis Core requirement fulfilled.
Provides opportunity to integrate, deepen and challenge students' understanding of the multiple roles of early childhood special educators and early interventionists in their efforts to support infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers with diverse abilities and their families in a variety of contexts. Prerequisites: ECSP 5110, ECSP 6100, ECSP 6120. Pre/Co-requisites: ECSP 5110, ECSP 6100, ECSP 6120; Praxis Core requirement fulfilled; GPA of at least 3.
